What we send
- Invitations: when a Tabby user enters an email address to invite someone to a shared group or expense.
- Balance reminders: when a user deliberately asks Tabby to remind a person about an outstanding shared balance.
- Important account or product notices: security, account, or service messages when necessary to operate Tabby.
What we do not send
Tabby does not buy, rent, scrape, or use third-party mailing lists. Transactional email is not used for bulk promotions, cold outreach, affiliate campaigns, or unrelated advertising.
Consent and frequency controls
Invitations are initiated by a user who supplies the recipient address in the context of a shared expense or group. Balance reminders are deliberate user actions and are rate-limited in the product. Push reminders are also limited to relevant account activity.
Bounces and complaints
Our production email pipeline is designed around Amazon SES event feedback. Hard bounces and complaint signals will be recorded and used to suppress further delivery to affected addresses where appropriate. We monitor sending health and keep transactional traffic separate from any future opt-in marketing.
Identity and content
Messages identify Tabby as the sender, explain the product event that caused the email, and contain only the information needed for that transaction. Email templates use the same Tabby visual identity as the app.
